Remote interpretation and when it works
Remote simultaneous interpretation (RSI) has become the standard for depositions, USCIS interviews, medical consultations, and many corporate meetings. The technology is mature, the quality is indistinguishable from in-person interpretation when set up correctly, and the practical advantages -- no travel costs, faster booking, broader interpreter availability -- are substantial.
Our remote interpreters use professional-grade audio setups and stable high-bandwidth connections. For Zoom depositions and legal proceedings, we coordinate directly with the court reporter and counsel to ensure the interpretation is captured correctly on the record.
For large conferences or events where simultaneous interpretation infrastructure is required, we can discuss hybrid arrangements combining remote and on-site interpreters. Call us to discuss your specific setup.
Legal and immigration interpretation
Legal interpretation in the US requires interpreters who understand not just the language but the procedural context. USCIS interview interpreters must follow specific protocols around oath administration and question-and-answer formatting. EOIR immigration court interpreters must meet federal court standards. Deposition interpreters must understand what they may and may not say, how to handle correction of the record, and how to manage difficult testimony.
Our legal interpreters are experienced in US federal and state court procedures, EOIR immigration court protocols, USCIS interview formats, and arbitration proceedings under AAA, JAMS, and other major institutions.

Booking and rates
Remote interpretation is booked per session (minimum 2 hours). We recommend booking at least 3 business days in advance for standard sessions. For same-day or next-day requirements, call (713) 849-3482 directly -- availability varies but we accommodate urgent requests when possible.
Our session rate covers the interpreter's preparation time, the session, and any standard documentation. Cancellations within 24 hours of the session are subject to a 50% cancellation fee due to the interpreter's reserved time.
